1. Bring the best out of your people
As a leader you need to guide your people especially those who are helping you in managing the community. Each member of your team has their own capacity and as their leader it is your responsibility to bring out their potential. When your team is at their best, they can help you much further in improving the community.
2. Keeping the team productive
In being a leader in your community, you’ll be doing lots of projects for the betterment of your constituents that’s why you’ll need a productive team. For you to have that you need to delegate each person in tasks or projects that they can do, they are willing to do and they have the time to do it. It will be easy for you to do this since you know your team’s capability.
3. Walk the talk
Some community leaders have the tendency to do more of the talking but less of the acting and as a result the community is not getting any form of leadership. To be followed by your subordinates you need to take action and lead them. Be really involved in the community and be willing to take part in changing your community for the better.
4. Form new leaders
As per the good words of author and public speaker J. Sakiya Sandifer “True leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders.” You are not a leader forever but your advocacy and projects for the community shall live on. Shape new leaders in the younger generation and pass on good leadership
5. Think long term
The problem with community leaders nowadays is that they do projects that has temporary benefits. Yes, the initiative is there to create projects for the community but when the effect is only short term, did the community really benefited from it? As leaders always think of long-term solutions, projects that the next generation can benefit from. THIS IS WHAT YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS and as a leader YOU HAVE TO DO IT.

LEADERSHIP & MOTIVATION | 5 MIN READ
In every aspect of our lives, there is a leader. In our school or work, in our communities and even in our churches A LEADER IS ALWAYS PRESENT. But what does it take to become an effective leader? Here are 5 Bible verses to guide you in becoming an effective leader.
1. MATTHEW 20:26 “Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.”
Before you become a leader to others you must first learn how to be a follower. We do not have the right to lead if we ourselves cannot follow others. May it be those who are higher or lower than us, if what they are doing is right, then they should be followed. Following others is every leader’s training ground.
2. MARK 10:45 “For even the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Leaders are hailed not to be pampered or be given any special treatment by his subordinates. Leaders are in their position to serve those who proclaimed him to his position. Being a leader is about service.
3. PROVERBS 16:12 “Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness.”
To lead you must have integrity in everything that you do. Yes, temptations are everywhere but keep in mind what you are and the core principles rooted in you. Keeping your integrity intact will eventually lead to much greater things, not only for you but for your followers as well.
4. PHILIPPIANS 2:3 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
Similar to bible verse #2, if your main objective in becoming a leader is for your own selfish reasons, then this is not the role for you. You prioritize the needs of your followers rather than your own. THAT’S A HOW A LEADER SHOULD BE.
5. JAMES 4:10 “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
To be given the title of a leader is a great privilege. But to become an effective leader, you must learn how to be humble. There’s a tendency for others to brag their title and have a sense of entitlement over others. You must keep your feet on the ground and remember to listen to what your subordinates are saying since you live to serve them.
We hope that these bible verses enlightened you. May you use these verses as a guide to becoming the leader you are destined to be.

Taking Risks Towards Success
LEADERSHIP & MOTIVATION | 5 MIN READ
Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg didn’t found and established Apple and Facebook overnight. They did a lot of hard work but most importantly they took risks, — A LOT OF IT. Jobs did a lot of risk-taking to innovate Apple’s products and Zuckerberg risk getting his own Harvard degree to focus on developing Facebook. As an entrepreneur, you need to know that, SUCCESS GOES ALONG TAKING RISKS. In this article know the tips on taking risks that can help you with your business.
Understanding the possibilities.
Know that there are things worth risking and not worth risking at all. You need to analyze certain situations to come up with a sensible decision When you take risks, of course, it’s normal to want something or expect something in return but keep in mind that you might not get the end result you want, Taking risks is way better than not taking at all.
Don’t overthink.
When you take a risk, you can’t help but overthink a little. Know that overthinking and being realistic are two different things. Overthinking makes you doubt the decision you made and you are just giving yourself too many worries but with being realistic, you are being open-minded with the possibilities your risk-taking might bring.
Go the other way.
“Take the road less taken.” that’s a phrase that is commonly associated with taking risks. You go out of your comfort zone when you take risks, it may be scary sometimes but it’s better than NOT RISKING ANYTHING AT ALL, right? It’s normal to feel fear but you’ll overcome it eventually.
Have a plan.
Start from small things, from the things you know you can do and to the things you need to know. Always remember that it is better to keep moving than to stay in the same place. You may not be that fast compared to others but at least you’re moving forward.
Focus on yourself, not on others.
We have different types of characteristics and capabilities and instead of comparing yourself to other people, make the achievement of others as your inspiration. Envying others success won’t get you anywhere so why don’t try to focus and improve on yourself.
Have a backup plan.
Not all plans might be successful in the end, but always remember that your plan A may not happen the way you want it to be, there are still other ways to achieve your success. There are still lots plans like plan B, C, D, etc. Just don’t give up on your dreams.
Risk taking is a hard way to achieve your dreams, it may be rocky and give you reasons to give up but think of it as a first step. Your initial trial will never define you as an individual. After all, taking risks only have to results, either you succeed or you learn.
